Finestra

Finestra is a multi-purpose chair with a moulded plywood shell in variable thickness that allows window-like cutouts in the back. The geometric clearness of Finestra does not disturb any environment. The back of a chair, minimized to the simple frame, provides transparency in the room.

Important to note:

! When a chair is veneered, there will always be visible plywood edges- more contrast on darker veneers (wenge, walnut), less contrast on lighter veneers (birch, oak).
! When a chair is stained, it is always stained all through, including the edges. Same with new pigmented lacquer.

Curved glued plywood is produced by gluing together several layers of plywood in electrical or high-frequency press molds and passing it through gluing cylinders. In the design of the Flow chair a different direction of fibers is used – both perpendicular and longitudinal.
The seat upholstery can be cotton, wool, polyester, artificial or natural leather or other fabrics.
The internal layers are birch plywood but the surface veneer can be birch, oak, walnut, wenge or zebrano with different finishes.

Translated from the Italian, “finestra” means “a window” which is represented by the window-like cutouts in the backrest of the chair. The geometrical clearness and the backrest with rounded corners, minimized to the simple frame, helps maintain the feeling of transparency, airiness and lightness in the room, combining geometrical and flowing lines in the design.

Finestra has a trapezoidal metal frame but the shell is made of bent plywood with variable thickness, decorative ergonomic backrest millings which enhance the beauty of plywood, enlarges the resistance and makes the sitting experience more comfortable.
Finestra has well stacking and linking features. The milled backrest can be used as a handle for moving the chair whereas the stackability makes the chairs easier to keep.
The design of Finestra makes it appropriate for use in different public interiors, as halls, waiting rooms and conference rooms, banks, and home interiors as a kitchen chair, dining room chair or guestroom chair.
